TPO has become one of the most popular commercial roofing choices in Florida, and the reason is simple: its reflective white membrane bounces the sun's heat back off your building instead of letting it soak in. On a flat or low-slope commercial roof under the Central Florida sun, that means a cooler building and lower energy bills — backed by tough, heat-welded seams that lock water out. Tip Top Roofing has protected Central Florida buildings since 1972, and as a GAF Master Elite contractor — among the top 2% in North America — we're certified to install TPO with GAF's strongest commercial warranties. TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply membrane built for flat and low-slope roofs. Its reflective surface is a natural fit for Florida's heat, helping reduce cooling load on warehouses, retail, offices, and other large buildings. The seams are heat-welded into a continuous, watertight bond — stronger than glued or taped systems — and the membrane is lightweight and cost-effective. For many commercial buildings, it's the best balance of energy performance, durability, and value.
A TPO roof is only as good as its seams, and proper heat-welding takes real skill and the right equipment. Our GAF Master Elite status puts us in the top 2% of roofers nationwide and lets us offer GAF's best commercial warranties — a meaningful assurance on a roof you're trusting to protect your operation. With 53 years behind us, we install TPO to last.
TPO is an excellent fit for many flat-roof buildings, but it's not the only answer. For roofs that see heavy foot traffic or need rugged multi-ply redundancy, modified bitumen may be the better call, and a sound existing roof might be a candidate for restoration and coatings instead of a tear-off. We'll recommend the right system honestly — see our full commercial roofing services.
What is TPO roofing? TPO is a single-ply, reflective membrane for flat and low-slope commercial roofs. Its heat-welded seams create a continuous watertight surface, and its white reflective finish helps lower cooling costs.
Yes — its reflective surface is one of its biggest advantages here, bouncing solar heat off the building and helping reduce energy bills in our climate.
A quality TPO system, properly installed, provides many years of reliable service. Installation quality — especially the seam welds — is what determines whether it reaches its full lifespan.
